Our firm has been set up in Saintonge province for many years. In the old Saintonge dialect "BALERIT" means hawk, or falcon called crécerelle, a small bird of prey whose flight is so particular. It can have long slow gliding flights, poise in the air and fly very swiftly. It can also move about very gracefully... so can the HM-1000 BALERIT.

And just like a bird, the HM-1000 BALERIT is not liable to stalling.
You will fly it naturally and instintively.

PRESENTATION HM-1000 BALERIT

The HM-1000 BALERIT is extremly manageable and has got a great inhérent stability in turbulence.
So you can rely on it at any flying speed, especially when it circles close overhead at slow speed while any other aircraft may become dangerous.
From these typical features, with or without its engine working, it can be called a kite parachute with an auxiliary engine as flying aid.

This ultralight is a side-by-side two-seater, single engined, high-wing double monoplane in tandem with two-axis controls.

Wings have unswept leading and trailing edges, and constant chord.

Tail has vertical surfaces only. Pitch control by fully wing. Yaw control by fully flying rudder with separate fin.

No separate roll control. Control inputs throught stick for pitch/yaw.
Wing profile MIGNET 3.60.12.P 100 % double surface.

Undercarriage has three wheels in tricycle formation, rubber suspension on all wheels.
Push-right go-right nosewhell steering connected to yaw control.

Aluminium-alloy tube airframe, with option pod. Engine mounted below wing, driving four-bladed pusher propeller.

The fuselage is made from 5086 and 2017 A duralumin tubes.

The wings are real plane-wings : wing longerons and ribs are made from duralumin 2017 A (made by AEROSPATIALE GROUP). Dacron covering. They are folding wings : you can fold them up by yourself in less than 4 minutes without any tools.
The wings are retained in their flying position by means of 4 bayonet bolts.

You can trail it on its own wheels at a speed of 50 mph, 80 kph, that is no problem.

The nature of a microlight is freedom, the ability of landing anywhere, at leisure, on any field, thanks to its rough-ground suspension.
So the undercarriage has got three wheels in tricycle formation, rubber suspension on all wheels with large clearence.

Nosewheel steering connected to yaw control. Wheel track 5.9 ft, 1.8 m.
Wheelbase 6.3 ft, 1.9 m.
Nosewheel and mainwheels : diameter overall 16 inch, 40 CM.
Mainwheels brake.
Dual control enables HM-1000 BALERIT to be a training machine.

Power plant : ROTAX-BOMBARDIER Engine, power from 52 hp, 64 hp to 74 hp.
multi V-belt reduction, ratio 3,5/1 (4 bladed propeller).
Fuel capacity : from 6.3 US gal, 5.2 Imp gal to 11,6 US gal, 9,7 Imp gal.
It is clear enough under the fuselage to take off in high grass or to fix a sailing board with its mast and sail.

Low noise four-bladed or pusher propeller.
